Some feedback with regards to our trip to Meeru Island Resort, Maldives.

Our experience at Meeru Island Resort in Maldives was absolutely fantastic. From staff, facilities to the rooms, everything was perfect, a dream holiday for any couple.

The efficient service we received from Tropical Island Escape Tours was wonderful. Our consultant, Isabel, was very helpful even when we emailed her to change our meal option whilst in maldives.

We would strongly recommend Meeru Island Resort to anyone looking for a dream holiday.

Me and my wife from Northriding in Johannesburg, South Africa decided last year to go to Mauritius for our honeymoon from 14 to 23 October 2007. After searching the internet we got to Tropical Island Escape Tours whom gave us a quotation for Le Coco Beach in Mauritius and we accepted. My personal experience with Hein van Tonder and the rest of the team at Tropical Island Escape Tours was of such a nature that I will not likely make use of another travel company in future.

Their friendly staff and outstanding service made it extremely easy for us to travel to Mauritius. Our tickets we delivered to us and we got exactly what we had asked for when we made the reservation down to the last detail.

Baie dankie vir jou vriendelikheid, goeie diens en behulpsaamheid.

Ons vakansie op Matemo en Medjumbe was fantasties. Die akkomodasie, staff en diens was uitstekend en die cuisine was uit 'n ander wêreld. Dit was beslis 'n onvergeetlike vakansie. Mosambiek is 'n pragtige land, en ons sal beslus meer wil sien.

Die vlugte het goed afgeloop, ten spyte van omslagtige deursoeke en 'n klein probleempie met ons tasse. Die vlieënier van die ligte vliegtuigie op Pemba verkies dat passasiers met sakke vlieg en nie met tasse nie, en die bagasie moet verkieslik nie meer as 15kg weeg nie. Ons moes dus vinnig ons goedjies oorpak in sakke en onnodige kledingstukke en bagasie moes op Pemba agterbly. Maar soos ek gesê het, dit was net 'n klein probleempie en het glas nie 'n demper op ons vakansie-mood geplaas nie.

Ons het 'n wonderlike tyd gehad.

That was so strange - I have just sent you an email and then when I looked in my inbox I saw there was a mail from you!

As I said in my previous mail we loved Saint Geran and cannot fault it at all. We would definitely love to return and can understand why so many people go there year after year. We also like Le Tousserok but found it not to be nearly as good as St Geran in terms of cuisine, service and accomodation, although the setting and beaches are fantasic. I think as Le Tousserok seems a lot bigger and was also very full, they are not able to offer the same level as service as St Geran.

Everything went very smoothly and the transfers etc were fantastic.

We are very keen to return to St Geran and also to try out some of the other One and Only resorts.

Just a note from us to thank you for the arrangements that you made for our holiday on the tropical island of Praslin in the Seychelles. Overall we really enjoyed the holiday. The Masons team were really very friendly and helpful, and always had smiling faces to greet you. The beach and the sea were wonderful, and the accommodation was also great, bar for the fact that there was no air conditioning in the units Praslin island which I would recommend to anyone. The island was however a little bit limited for options, with very few shops and commercial venues to visit, we found that if you take public transport to visit these centres to purchase your self catering needs, you often have to walk very far to get what you need, and your baggage increases all the way. The public transport is very affordable though, at the cost of 3 Rupees a trip, and are very regular. The tropical islands are very hot at this time of year, and we really needed the air conditioning in the housing units to cool down at least once a day and let the body rest, even the water in the shower was too tepid to cool down fully.

We left Praslin Island a day early to visit Victoria where we rented a hotel room with an air conditioner, and it made the world of a difference.

We found food pricing to be standard with the most expensive items being meat and alcohol, but didn't really need too much of that, so food pricing was not a problem at all, and fitted into a modest budget. In South Africa we are however spoilt for choice, and on the islands you will not get a huge variety of items in the shops, but you can pretty much get everything at a reasonable price, if you are not too worried about brand names. In Victoria there was a lot more choice commercially, and we really enjoyed spending the last day there browsing the shops and getting to know the different cultures of the islands. The Seychelles is a safe environment. We had no safety or security mishaps or threats.

Our family decided to spoil ourselves to an excursion with Masons around Praslin island on their yacht, and it was truly an experience to remember. We visited Curious island and Cousin island, and snorkeled at St Pierre island and that was worth every penny of the very reasonable price. No doubt the highlight of the holiday with the friendly family of Masons.

So, overall a lovely holiday with the cruise around the island as a highlight, but unfortunately the air conditioner issue in the accommodation as a very big low.

Please may I use this opportunity to thank your company for the arrangements and also the Masons crew for treating us as part of the family.

When, finally, I did make a decision to travel to La Pirogue, Mauritius, you managed to give me information from previous clients of yours, which assisted in easing my mind in such a huge and important decision of mine.

Our honeymoon destination was a surprise to Nicki and we both had the most amazing and relaxing time. Even though we are both quite well travelled, we are quite happy to call it the best holiday of our lives! Thank you for the package you put together to make our time so easy.

Yes, thank you very much, we had a fantastic honeymoon in Mauritius. The flights worked out well, La Pirogue was great, friendly and extremely organized. We believe we made the right choice in hotels. The weather was not great but I guess you take a chance in the Indian Ocean this time of the year. The cyclone was only 250km NW of Mauritius. It was our honeymoon after all so we where not too up set about it.

I just wanted to say thank you for helping us to organise our holiday in mauritius. We had a great time and are feeling rather sad about being back in jhb.

The special palm beach villa that Le Coco Beach gave us was great. it was one of their 6 best rooms - it was 10 meters from the beach and had it's own large balconey with loungers so we could sit out rain or shine and watch the sea.

I'll give you a buzz the next time we want to go!

Just want to let you know that we had a great time at Le Galawa Beach Hotel in the Comores! The hotel was great, the service good and the food delicious. The room had a beautiful sea view and was very comfortable thanks to the aircon! There was enough to keep us busy, even though the wind was blowing the whole week. . . The dolphin spotting and scuba diving resort course was really exciting and worth while!

Thank you for all your arrangements! Had no trouble at all with the flights, visas or accommodation!

Sorry about the delay - but had had every intention of telling you all about the holiday

It was everything and then some more - IT WAS FANTASTIC.

We had a most superb time - the Pemba Beach Hotel treated us royally. The air flip across to Metomo was breathtaking. Our trip to Ibo - exceptional and very interesting. Our stay at the island was wonderful - staff were superb and the food excellent have now run out of words to decribe our holiday - ( the only critisism and it is a small one - was the beds at the island were a bit hard !!)

Apart from that it was a wonderful break and would recomend it highly to all - maybe we will have to visit the new lodge when that opens - will watch your web site for details -!!

We also made the connection from Durban to JHB and onto LAM with ease - your ground lady there was all ready and waiting for us and had our tickets in her hand - we had however stayed in contact.
